Scarf Gal Food is a website about different American Egyptian dishes. It is called Scarf gal since it refers to how I look ;) My name is Simona Afifi and I am an American Egyptian who lives in USA. I used to be an executive director of engineering till recently. I decided to follow my passion so I quit being an ED.  

The Egyptian kitchen is not common in USA at all. People think that the Egyptian food might be close to regular meditteranesn, other think it is closer to Indian food and others think it is even more like Italian. It is all of that!!!
