Shortcut of Egyptian fiteer with sausage: Sausage pie using puff pastry

What is this?
In Egypt, there is a famous delicious meal known as "Fiteer", Fiteer is a pastry that could be stuffed with savory ingredients like sausage, basturma (arabic version of beef jerky), seafood or sweet ingredients like sweet cream, sugar...etc.
I will add a separate post for how to make the Fiteer pastry from Scratch, but this is a shortcut to get the savory flavors in an easy way ;)

Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry
1 cup sausage
1 cup mozzarrela cheese
1/2 cup black olives or green olives pitted and diced
1/2 cup sauteed bell peppers (optional)
1 beaten egg with 3 tablespoons of water
Directions
0. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
1. Unroll the puff pastry
2. Place the sliced sausages in one right side of the puff pastry
3. Place the sauteed bell peppers on the top of the sausage
4. Place the olives on the pile
5. Place the mozzarella on the rest of the pile
6. For spicy: you can sprinkle some chili peppers
7. fold the left side of the puff pastry on the top of the right side
8. With the knife, make some openning on the top of the puff pastry so the vapor can come out
9. Cover the top with the beaten egg wash
10. Bake until bubbly and brown
For fancy look: you can put the pile of ingredients in the middle, cut stripes with sharp knife as below on the left and hand sides of the puff pastry, braid your way :)
